Quinta de Pancas Special Selection Merlot 2020
The grapes that gave rise to this wine come exclusively from the vineyards of Quinta de Pancas, located in Alenquer. The vineyards are located in a sequence of hills and valleys, protected by the Serra de Montejunto. The climate is Mediterranean with an Atlantic influence. The soils are neutral clay-limestone with a fine texture. This Merlot comes from plot 16 of the estate.
You can order this wine in boxes of 6 units or by the unit, in which case an extra €1 is added for operating costs.
With an intense, almost opaque dark garnet colour, its aroma is enveloping and characteristic, with highlights of cassis, ripe forest fruits, dried forest foliage and a hint of dark chocolate. The palate is elegant and balanced, confirming the notes of forest fruits and complex vegetal flavours, with polished tannins and a dry, well-defined finish.
