Viognier 2019

With a limited production of 3,460 bottles, this Viognier is the result of an oenology concept that brings to fruition the production of unique and exceptional wines every year, reflecting the singularity and character of the terroir where each grape variety is planted.

100% Viognier, a grape variety of French origin that found in the thermal amplitudes of the Monte da Ravasqueira a particular and unprecedented way of expressing its freshness and intense character. Two harvests, at different dates, were made on the same block in order to take advantage of the heterogeneity of maturation, so characteristic of this caste. The work translated into two batches: the first staged without influence of wood and only under the influence of low temperatures and regular battonage, thus finding the best way to express all of its freshness; the second aged in new and used barrels of French oak, seeking to express texture and complexity.
