A wine that is simply different. Ravasqueira Sangiovese wine, is a monovarietal from the most widely planted grape variety in Italy and difficult to grow, which has found at Monte da Ravasqueira a peculiar way of expressing itself. It has a very irreverent behaviour similar to the profile of the grapes it originates from. Tannins and acidity are the two best words that define this variety. The grapes were hand picked into 20kg boxes and cooled before vinification.
Benefits from decanter aeration. Some months of ageing in bottle. Due to its characteristics it will present a much more elegant and complex profile over the next 6 years. Intense garnet colour and medium density characteristic of the variety. Nose of dried fruits, coffee and light chocolate but somewhat closed but increasing in intensity with time and mentholated notes. In the tasting it has intense cherry notes, tobacco and many mineral notes that come to dominate the whole tasting, as well as great freshness and some vegetal side. Deep and dry tannins revealing a profile obligatorily gastronomic.
